The 1st Batch Of Students Of Malacca High School
+Malacca High School started off with and enrolment of 18 boys. +Malacca High School opened its doors not only for those in Malacca, but also for students from other states of Peninsular Malaysia.
+Malacca High School had opened its doors to female students in 1828. The first batch consisted of 65 female students. In 1934, the female section was discontinued because Miss Wallance, who replaced Maria Neweel, left the school to serve in +Canton . China. Since then, the school no longer welcomed female students because of the shortage in teaching materials and the then conservative females. Most of the students of Malacca High School came from surrounding areas, such as Klebang, Limbongan, Bukit Rambai, Ujong Pasir, Masjid Tanah, Alor Gajah and so on.
Until the outbreak of +World War II , its enrolment never reached 500 except in 1970 where there were 505 students. After the war, the school has continuously grown until today. Presently, Malacca High School has 2000 students.
