The HSLA has carried out various activities to promote the use of the English Language among the students of the school.

The activities which were organised by the HSLA during the 1990-91 term were:-

1. A story-telling competition for the lower secondary students.
2. Inter-class debate for the Form Four students.
3. Inter-class debate for the Form Five students.
4. A video session for the HSLA members.
5. Public speaking and speeches by HSLA members were held at all quads during the 'Minggu Sastera 1991' week.
6. An educational trip to Singapore was organized by the HSLA and the Maths and Science Society.
7. The HSLA also took part in the school "Canteen Day 1991"
8. L.O.K was the champion of the Public Speaking Contest organized by ITM Melaka and Raymond Seet was given special mention.
